It’s quite a while since I did this photoshoot, but it took place in January 2025 with an 8am start time and I still remember having to fight my way through heavy snow to reach the most isolated of venues on the moors in Marsden, Huddersfield! It was so snowy and dark that I could hardly see the building or the turn off. I was there to photography the Needi team who were having an annual team building get together and people had arrived in the previous days from all over the UK. I couldn’t let them down and somehow managed to make it. The team were in really good spirits and we had a lot of fun with the headshots and the group shots.

An education photoshoot now, for one of my favourite clients. Claire Helm from CHC (Marketing for business and education) asked me to spend the morning with herself and headteacher Rebecca at Horton Grange Primary in Bradford, capturing images for their school website. It’s a really lovely primary school, full of warmth and joy and the enthusiastic, happy children made it really easy and enjoyable.

Charterfields, chartered surveyors, asked me to photograph their team’s headshots for their ‘about us’ page on their website. Whilst they had a meeting in Manchester, I photographed them individually in a reportage style. We combined this with headshots on a blue background so that they had two very different options to use.

I visited a couple of branches of the estate agency Manning Stainton, in Leeds, to produce commercial photography for their marketing. Sophie from Northern Estate Agencies organises the photoshoots and always ends up helping out with a bit of ‘back of the head’ modelling 🙂 – she loves it really! These ‘working style shots’ as I call them, are fun to do – setting everything up, considering the backgrounds, getting people in the right places and then giving them lots of direction.

Lastly, this commercial photography for Timpson was a pleasure to do. I worked with Timpson’s graphic designer Claudia, to create new images across their brands, Timpson, Max Spielmann, Johnsons The Cleaners and The Watch Lab. Claudia was lovely to work with and everyone we met at the branches were keen to be involved with the photoshoot. Our brief was to capture hero shots, working style shots, closer detail images and images of the store. Claudia’s mum also had a starring role!
