Commercial

I undertake commercial photoshoots for design, content agencies and all types of businesses and corporations. These photoshoots range from simple headshots to editorial portraits suitable for the media. From images that tell the story of your business through to national campaigns. I pay close attention to listen and understand your needs. Careful planning enables me to achieve optimal results and capture the right ‘feel.’

When commissioned by design and advertising agencies or when working directly with organisations, I take great care to understand my client needs so that I can achieve the best results that work for them. Bringing creativity, enthusiasm and technical knowledge to every commercial photoshoot, I work hard to turn my clients’ ideas into an inspiring visual reality. I enjoy the challenge of reflecting on a company’s core values through photography.

Great imagery can make a real difference in how the general public perceives a business. This, in turn affects how they interact with it. Working with design agencies or with smaller businesses directly, I pride myself on listening to my clients. I ask the right questions and collaborate to ensure the produced imagery reflects the company’s ethos. It also needs to convey the intended message effectively.

Working together we can build a visual identity for your business. It can be used across marketing and advertising campaigns, social media and websites. I am always happy to meet up and discuss your ideas. Please take a look at the examples of campaigns I’ve already shot below.

I work on locations all across the North of England. Areas covered include Manchester, Sheffield, York, Liverpool, Birmingham, Preston, Warrington as well as Yorkshire, in Leeds and Hull.

If you are interested in a commercial photoshoot, please contact me on 01484 512484 or email me at mail@clairewood.com. We can discuss your ideas and arrange a quote. I look forward to hearing from you! Together we can create stunning images for your business.

“As the owner of a creative design agency, I know how important it is to work with photographers who know what they are doing but also add that extra something. Claire is someone who adds that extra something. Having worked with her on and off over the past 15 years, I have no hesitation in recommending her.”

“We worked with Claire last year to produce a range of new images for our company, a specialist IP law firm. The task at hand was to go to location and capture a range of different shots that not only captured a certain aspect. But they were also of highly professional quality. Claire went above and beyond not only on both of these counts – but also worked incredibly efficiently under tight time constraints as members of our team became available or unavailable.

With Claire, you’re not only guaranteed to get what you’re after but a lot more. What’s more she is someone who is incredibly enthusiastic and approachable. We will be certainly be asking Claire to help with our next set of photos and she comes very highly recommended.”

“I’ve worked with Claire on several photo shoots and she has always been fantastic to work with. Claire has done portrait shots of lots of the BBC presenters at stations across the North, she has also taken photos for me at events and outside shoots. She is easy to get along with and always makes the presenters very relaxed so she gets the best shots out of them. And she gives them clear direction so they know exactly what to do. Everyone has always been really pleased with the pictures she delivers. Her images have been used in various publications, print and online. I would definitely recommend Claire as a photographer”.

“As Design Manager at Manchester Art Gallery I am responsible for producing strong gallery branded communications. Claire was initially commissioned to provide our brand photography, communicating our values: welcoming, warm, fun and engaging. She continued to work with us over a 6 year period. She has produced exceptional shots for us. A good director, she works well with models (our models are our visitors), is highly professional, delivers great work, on time. Claire works incredibly hard to get the best shots, the end result is beautiful photography. I would not hesitate to recommend her.”

Pauline Minsky, Design Manager, Manchester Art Gallery

“We regularly used Claire for cover story shoots for EN Magazine. If you want someone to turn up for five minutes, take a few snaps and hope for the best, Claire isn’t your woman. If, on the other hand, you want a photographer who will strain every sinew to wring the best results out of her sitters then you’ve come to the right place. I’ll never forget, for example, the precise instructions she gave to Peter Jones (yes, that Peter Jones) about the exact placement of his eyebrows! It’s the tiny little details that alone may not make much difference but when all are taken together make the difference between a competent picture and an image that has enduring power and quality. Claire doesn’t leave anything to chance when lighting, posing and carrying out a photoshoot. If you hire her, you won’t be doing so either.”

Stuart Anderson, Editor of EN magazine until 2012
