Last December I spent a couple of days with Garic who sell or hire welfare units and equipment to the construction and infrastructure industry. Wilson Cooke were working on Garic’s new brand and commissioned me to build up a bank of imagery. This was a difficult one to dress for! I’d thought we were outside in December for most of the day so I arrived looking like the Michelin man, but quickly began dispensing layers of clothing for the office shots and then layering up again for the factory photography. I was never quite right… There was a really wide range of activities to cover, from the store to the welding and sandblasting, to wiring out the welfare units. We covered so much that I’m sharing these images over two newsletters. You can also see more here. Garic is a lovely company to work with and everyone involved was really helpful. It was a jam packed couple of days that cheered up December.

This was my second visit to Central Networks in Heywood. Central is a family owned business that provides IT support to other businesses. I was there to update their headshots on both a black background and a white background. Central’s website and company colours are a bold black, white and yellow. The headshots on the black background enables them to combine the image with graphics that really stand out. I love the ones on black – very impactful.

A commercial photography shoot in London for my client SMRS who were organising photography and videography for ACCA. ACCA is the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. I photographed a number of people in front of a colorama background but this time with a twist so that you could see the office background. I also took the same people and created some office lifestyle imagery with any spare time we had during the day. The idea was to create case studies for their audience and start conversations about ACCA. All the people I worked with were lovely and so happy to be involved.

Lastly a second post about my commercial photoshoot for Auto Scout24 in Munich with SMRS. I mentioned in the October newsletter that I photographed the same people in a reportage / office lifestyle way, interacting and conversing with colleagues. This time I’m sharing the portraits we created as part of that same photoshoot. I looked for interesting colourful and quirky parts of the building to use as backgrounds. A lovely well paced shoot with really nice people. See more from this shoot office lifestyle photoshoot.

Just over a year ago I was commissioned to produce photography for Greater Manchester’s NHS CAMHS. The purpose of the photoshoot was a recruitment campaign for mental health practitioners. To photograph current practitioners in their place of work, in a positive light, enjoying their work.
Well done everyone, we’ve managed to get through the long, dark, dreary January days and into February, which is at least a little bit closer to Spring and brighter times. Just a warning to anyone squeamish - be careful scrolling down! I’m featuring a photoshoot I did for Red Cross First Aid Training...
CroBio are a really interesting innovative company that may well make a massive difference to the world. Their goal is to ‘create an environmentally sustainable solution to alleviate global agricultural drought and help reverse the effects of climate change, through durable carbon drawdown’. I met them at CroBio’s lab in Macclesfield...
I spent a day with a lovely family to create images for MCS Certified, my brief was to capture natural images of the family, in their home, living their lives and to have subtle references to ‘energy’. The star of the show - is such a chilled little guy who takes everything in his stride. We all worked around him, giving him space and down time whenever he needed it - he really is an amazing little person.
I spent half a day with Joe and his team at Soteria Fire Protection in Huddersfield to create branding photography for their website and general promotion and marketing. Soteria provides expert fire safety solutions across the north. We started with headshots against a mid grey background, wearing branded t-shirts of all the staff. Then moved onto more editorial style portraits of Joe
