Wishing you all a fabulous Christmas! I hope you get the chance to relax and put your feet up over the festive break. With a quiet month ahead, I’m finally on top of my paperwork and have even found time to rearrange the office furniture and do a bit of dusting… (bored now, please phone!).
Last June was a different story, so I have plenty to tell you about. We start with a delightful shoot for Cosmopolitan with Danielle and Matthew. They fell in love over the internet, even though they lived on opposite sides of the Atlantic… bless!

I was invited to the in-store bakery to photograph Mark at work for the ‘Who Grows It’ page of Asda magazine. Not the usual outdoor rural location this page is used to! However, with a little re-arranging, we managed to make quite a large-scale bakery look warm and cosy.

It was great fun to go behind the scenes with Cosmopolitan magazine at Manchester’s X Factor to photograph Beth Hart. Beth is the Senior Executive Producer – what a fabulous job! Walking into the venue past the crowds of potential stars, I somehow got mistaken for Jedward – how rude! Must’ve been the wind making my hair fly skywards? (Or my electric blue suit!)

My second visit to the Alexander Hospital — this time to photograph the Cardio Vascular team for their new website.

Stephen Martin, Chief Executive of Clugston, was a lovely man to photograph for Business Agenda. He was very relaxed and enthusiastic. Stephen appeared on Undercover Boss a few years back, so he’s probably used to the limelight!

Lastly, a tongue-in-cheek shoot for an article on ‘hormonal women’ for Femail. Martina Mercer, who runs a successful copywriting business, talked about all the crazy things she has done in the past while under the influence of hormones!

That’s all for now in my December ’12 news. See you in the New Year!
xx
Just over a year ago I was commissioned to produce photography for Greater Manchester’s NHS CAMHS. The purpose of the photoshoot was a recruitment campaign for mental health practitioners. To photograph current practitioners in their place of work, in a positive light, enjoying their work.
Well done everyone, we’ve managed to get through the long, dark, dreary January days and into February, which is at least a little bit closer to Spring and brighter times. Just a warning to anyone squeamish - be careful scrolling down! I’m featuring a photoshoot I did for Red Cross First Aid Training...
CroBio are a really interesting innovative company that may well make a massive difference to the world. Their goal is to ‘create an environmentally sustainable solution to alleviate global agricultural drought and help reverse the effects of climate change, through durable carbon drawdown’. I met them at CroBio’s lab in Macclesfield...
I spent a day with a lovely family to create images for MCS Certified, my brief was to capture natural images of the family, in their home, living their lives and to have subtle references to ‘energy’. The star of the show - is such a chilled little guy who takes everything in his stride. We all worked around him, giving him space and down time whenever he needed it - he really is an amazing little person.
I spent half a day with Joe and his team at Soteria Fire Protection in Huddersfield to create branding photography for their website and general promotion and marketing. Soteria provides expert fire safety solutions across the north. We started with headshots against a mid grey background, wearing branded t-shirts of all the staff. Then moved onto more editorial style portraits of Joe
